Winter is just around the corner, and I have compiled a list of all the beauty must-haves you need to survive the next few chilly months! From dry skin to chapped lips, these 8 essential beauty products will solve all your winter woes and have you forgetting what a “polar vortex” even is.
The Essentials
1. Out Of Africa Shea Butter Peppermint Foot Cream ($8.99)
The recently launched Shea Butter Foot Cream by skincare brand, Out of Africa is essential for keeping your tootsies hydrated and soft this winter. The restorative cream is enriched with 20% pure and unrefined shea butter for exceptional comfort. The peppermint creates a refreshing, cooling sensation perfect for sole stress relief. 2. Aquaphor Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment with Touch-Free Applicator
The winter months can do a number on your skin, causing it to crack and even become irritated. Aquaphor’s Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment is one of my favorite products to use on my skin when regular old lotion isn’t enough. This ointment is formulated with 41% petrolatum and Glycerin to allow oxygen to flow while it heals and nourishes the skin. This particular Aquaphor product is constructed with a soft foam tip, so you don’t need to get your fingers messy. Buy at WALMART
3. Tata Harper Smoothing Body Scrub ($68)
While moisturizing is super important in the winter, exfoliating first is an absolute must in order to have smooth and soft skin. Tata Harper’s Smoothing Body Scrub is one of my favorite exfoliators on the market right now. The luscious scrub contains five biodegradable exfoliants which include pink Himalayan and Hawaiian sea salts, cranberry fibers, apricot seed powder, and organic sugar. These exfoliants polish the skin’s surface and buff away dead skin cells to help condition the skin before moisturizing. Buy at Nordstrom.com
4. Carmex Original Lip Balm Tube (with a bonus Winter Mint seasonal stick)
Carmex recently announced a new and limited-edition seasonal “Winter Mint” flavor. The new lip balm flavor combines the invigorating freshness of winter with a kiss of mint and is only available in in specially marked two-pack Buy-one-get-one-free packs. The ultra hydrating lip balm formula helps to seal in moisture while also preventing drying of lip tissue. Carmex lip balms also provide SPF 15 – making it a great lip balm for the Summer months as well. Buy at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS or other fine retailers.
5. Nature’s Gate Oatmeal Lotion ($10.39)
It’s always important to use the most natural and organic lotion as possible when looking to moisturize and not irritate dry winter skin. Nature’s Gate Oatmeal lotion is paraben, gluten, soy, vegan, and fragrance-free – making it an essential lotion to buy for the chilly winter months. The all-natural formula contains moisturizing canola oil, botanical extracts and 7 skin conditioning moisturizes that provides instant moisture and leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated. 6. La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Moisturizer ($37.99)
Keeping your face moisturized is important all year round, but especially during the winter months when skin is exposed to harsh winds and chilly temperatures. The La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Moisturizer is the perfect way to keep your skin both hydrated while also soothing and neutralizing redness. I personally have redness in certain areas on my face so I was so excited to learn about this moisturizer that stimulates the skin’s natural defenses and uses essential Vitamins to strengthen the walls of fragile blood vessels. Because it balances the skin tone, it also makes for a great makeup base. Buy at drugstore.com
7. airplus Aloe-Infused Spa Socks ($5.99)
One of my favorite winter beauty regimes is to lather my hands and feet in moisturizers and then wear warm gloves and socks to bed. When you wake up, your skin feels incredible and super hydrated. The airplus Aloe-Infused Spa socks are awesome because they contain both aloe and Vitamin E which help to both moisturize and warm feet. They also are super affordable, with an unbeatable $5.99 price tag. Buy at Walmart, Target, CVS, and other select retailers.
8. Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith’s Rosebud Salve ($5.59)
The Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith’s Rosebud Salve has been one of my favorite lip balms for years. One of the reasons being that it’s rose-scented (my favorite), but also because it can be used on lips, elbows, knees, or anywhere that skin is dry. It instantly relieves dryness and also soothes skin of minor burns or cracks. Buy at Drugstore.com
