You see celebrities who have admitted that they take it; you’ve probably even seen people who have had the procedure done and then gave their own reviews online. If you’re considering it, you might ask yourself and others in general, why do people get Botox?
The answer isn’t as simple as you might think. There are the people who take it to improve their appearance, but the reasons why aren’t just to look younger. On the Hollywood scene, for instance, there are many celebrities who have had Botox done. Some do it out of a certain sense of conceit, that’s true, but for many more people in the limelight, it’s really something that they have to do. Why? Because, they have jobs that require them to defy the aging process and look desirable for years, even decades. For them, cosmetic procedures are a way of life.
But, what about everyone else? Some of us are genetically predisposed to getting those wrinkles early in life, rather than later on. For those who reach thirty and already have deep-seated crow’s feet and frown lines, the aging process can be unfair. In those cases, one can understand why those same people would look for ways of looking not younger, but just to look their proper age!
There are others who require Botox for the treatment of various medical conditions. For those who suffer from chronic migraines and have tried other medications to no avail, this treatment has been found to alleviate the headaches for those people. Since it deadens certain nerve impulses, it can do the same for the terrible headaches which accompany a migraine.
For people who have a tendency to sweat excessively, Botox injections are able to deaden the sweat glands in that area, resulting in those glands having reduced function. Essentially, by partially paralyzing those glands, they will produce less sweat.
There are people who also have overactive bladders and need to reduce the need to go to the bathroom. Believe it or not, this also helps to reduce those trips to the restroom, as well!
Crossed-eyes and twitching eyes are also something that happens to many people in the world. One is embarrassing and the other can have long term effects on your vision. This covers not just people whose eyes are completely crossed, but people whose eyes don’t properly line up. A dose of Botox relaxes the muscles that are causing the eyes to overexert and restore a more normal appearance.
As strange as it may sound, there are people who experience painful neck spasms. If you’ve ever had a muscle spasm, you know just how awful they can be. Again, a simple injection of Botox in the affected area can prevent the muscles from straining, effectively relaxing them. No more spasms!
So, there are many reasons why people use Botox and they’re not as simple as you might think. So, the next time someone mentions that they have this procedure done, don’t jump to conclusions as to why. Ask why they have it done and you might just find yourself in an interesting conversation!

In some cases, Botox is the enemy for an actor/actress. It changes so weird their faces, that actually they can’t act and tell the story of the characters they have taken over. Paralysed faces can’t give thrilling and vivid performances. Imperceptibly tiny face movements, eye expressions, can convey pain and panic, grief, psychopathy, love, happiness, care, giving.
