Wet n Wild Fergie Nail Color in Take The Stage – Review & Swatches

Lately I’ve been obsessing over glitter nail polish (most likely due to the holiday season), and Wet n Wild’s Fergie nail color line doesn’t disappoint when it comes to sparkles. ‘Take The Stage’ is one of the many sparkly colors available in this line.

Take The Stage is a magenta glitter with medium sized silver sparkles. Judging from just the bottle, this color looked magical and I couldn’t wait to paint my nails with it. But despite how it looks, the formula is actually made up more of clear polish rather than actual glitter – making it only useful if applied over another color.

The above photo of my nails is actually FIVE plus coats and the nail still isn’t completely painted in glitter. Even after shaking the polish, there is just so much clear goop in this bottle that I could never get enough glitter on the brush to paint a solid coat of it. I like the color but the formula is unfortunately not saturated enough with sparkles so I can’t say this is one I would recommend.

This shade along with the others in the Fergie line have wider-set brushes which do make for an easier application in my opinion. That’s one reason why I really like this line of polishes, so I hope to find some other colors that work better than Take The Stage.
