1. Fruity Fragrances (Aquolina, Prada)
Summer is all about sweet & fruity scents! I have always been a fan of Aquolina’s “Pink Sugar” and its sweet aroma of caramel, cotton candy, vanilla, and so many other delicious scents. Another great summer fragrance is Prada’s “Candy” as it is the perfect blend of Caramel, Musk, Vanilla, and Benjoin.
2. Stila ream Blush
The only way to keep your makeup in tact in the hot summer heat is to use products designed to withhold the weather. Cream blushes are perfect for summer because they provide a more subtle glow than powder blushes and won’t look caked on when exposed to the sun. Stila’s convertible color offers nine different shades and is not only highly pigmented but also very easy to blend!
3. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15
Somehow I have managed to get this lip balm for free twice now from Sephora (possibly a birthday reward?) and I can’t brag enough about it! It’s important to wear a balm with an SPF in it throughout the summer because lips are just as easy to burn as your skin! This sugar lip treatment also comes in tinted colors-so if you’re looking for a subtle lip stain, try those as well.
4. NYX Makeup Setting Spray
I have always used Urban Decay’s makeup setting spray but I made the switch to NYX’s Long Lasting setting spray because I love the “dewy skin” look, especially in the summer! This stuff is really essential in the summer because of how easily it is for makeup to melt and become “cakey” in the hot weather.
5. Victoria’s Secret Self Tanner
I have always been opposed to tanning beds and even laying in the sun for hours (Not a fan of leather skin) so I always resort to spray tans and self tanners. I recently started using Victoria’s Secret Self Tanning Lotion and it works like a dream! As long as you exfoliate beforehand and blend the lotion in evenly, you will not see any streaks. I also love how naturally tan it leaves my skin. Sometimes self tanners will be too intense or look orangey but this one is just the right amount of bronze.
I REALLY like the image that you’ve made for this post! It just OOZES sensuality, summer and the promise of tings to come 🙂 I haven’t seen the NYX setting spray here in South Africa, but I’ll keep an eye for it. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you so much, dear! And yes definitely keep an eye for that it. Or you can try Urban Decay’s line of makeup setting spray, those are great too!! 🙂
