Review: Winky Lux Double Matte Whip Liquid Lipstick

NYC-based brand, Winky Lux is one I hope to put on your radar. I recently came across the adorable brand on Instagram, and had to find out more. The brand graciously sent me a few of their Double Matte Whip Liquid Lipsticks to try and I have swatched and reviewed them for all of you! Let’s begin the review!

The Formula

Official formula description:Indulge in waterproof Double Matte Whip liquid lipstick. A matte-finish formula that features avocado oil and real vanilla to lock in loads of moisture. Sweet never looked so sultry.

Besides having the prettiest packaging I have ever seen for a lipstick, one of the things I noticed very quickly was how pigmented and super smooth the formula was. You definitely will never need 2 coats of these liquid lipsticks. The skinny & slightly angled brush also makes it very easy to apply the perfect application on lips.

Swatches

I was sent Angel Food, Cookie, Lolli & Shortcake to try, and swatched them above. My absolute favorite shade from the bunch was Cookie, which also happens to be a dupe for Kylie’s ‘Dolce K’.

Overall Thoughts

I give this brand an A+! Not only is their liquid lipstick formula absolutely amazing (highly pigmented + non-drying), but their packaging would make anyone swoon! Featuring cherries on the top of the lipstick lid, ice cream cones adorning the bottle, and tons of other fun designs, this brand knows how to design a great product. I haven’t tried any of the other products but after having such a good experience with their liquid lipsticks, I am definitely going to purchase more from them!
