The winter season can have a knack for wreaking havoc on your skin. Especially mine. Between the low temperatures and dry air, my face has definitely seen brighter days. Thankfully, I was sent the PMD Microderm kit from Brandbacker, and so far I have been experiencing amazing results and noticed a huge difference in my skin.
How it works:
The PMD Microderm utilizes it’s patented spinning disc technology along with a calibrated vacuum suction to remove the top layer of dull, dead skin. By doing this, collagen production is stimulated along with an increase in blood flow to provide nutrients and an overall glow to the skin’s surface.
PMD Cell Regeneration System:
Along with the PMD Microderm exfoliator, the kit includes a cleanser, neutralizing toner, and a moisturizer to be used in conjunction with the PMD tool. I was surprised at how well these add-on products worked, as sometimes secondary skincare products to a device are not all they are talked up to be. The advanced soothing cleanser contains three active ingredients that work together to gently remove dirt and oil without harming the skin’s protective lipid barrier. The second step in the process is to apply the PMD Calming Neutralizing Toner. This toner reinforces the skin’s natural protective barrier and also enhances its moisture retention. By evening out the tone and texture of skin, all leftover skin imperfections are removed so the surface is completely clean for the PMD Microderm exfoliator (which is used next). Finally, after exfoliating with the Personal Microderm, apply the PMD Professional Recovery Moisturizer to facilitate the skin’s collagen production and moisture retention.
Overall thoughts:
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the PMD Microderm System. My skin has not only appeared more smooth but I have also not seen a single breakout or blemish since I first began using this system. Skincare comes first above any makeup product as it’s essential to have a fresh and flawless complexion in order for any makeup product to look appealing. This system is also great for preventing early signs of aging as it reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and helps to keep skin consistently regenerating collagen and new cell growth.
