This week I attended the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Press Event where I got a first look at their S/S 2015 Cosplay Collection. I was even lucky enough to meet OCC’s CEO and founder, David Klasfeld who is an absolute doll!
The colorful Cosplay collection features six lip tars along with 6 matching nail lacquers. Being part of the press at the launch, I was able to receive all the Cosplay Lip Tars, so I have swatches of all the lustworthy shades for you!
If you aren’t familiar with the OCC Lip Tar formula, it is comparable to liquid lipstick – as it goes on like a lip gloss but wears like a satin finish lipstick. These particular Cosplay colors are matte, so they will also look even more like a lipstick than some of the other shiny finish lip tars.
My personal favorite shades are the collection’s namesake, “Cosplay” and “John Doe.”
“Cosplay” is described as a Teal-toned Green. I absolutely can’t get enough of this color, I felt like such a mermaid when I put it on! I think the teal blue undertones make it more wearable than if it were just a solid green.
“John Doe” is described as a Pale Ash-toned Taupe. What I love about this shade is that it’s completely on trend with the beige lip color craze right now but it’s much more wearable than just the solid grey/beige colors.
