‘Flair For Finery’ is one of the five new shades in MAC’s Divine Night Holiday Collection. It is described as a cool/pink nude with a Lustre finish. Even though I have more than enough nude lipsticks, I just couldn’t help myself from picking up ‘Flair For Finery’ especially being that it’s a limited edition shade!
The Divine Night Lipsticks have a new gold detailing, rather than the classic silver – and I must say I am obsessed with the packaging just as much as the colors themselves.
Below I am wearing MAC’s ‘Flair For Finery’ over a thin layer of foundation that I lightly swept across my lips. This color came out much better on my lips with a foundation base (you can also use a lip liner base), since it is semi transparent. As I’ve mentioned before, I have more pigmented lips so with shades like this, I always line my lips first so that the color comes out more vibrant and also lasts longer.
Because of the versatility of nude lipsticks, you can rock this shade with smokey eyes or even with a natural look. I have been slowly getting away from the black eyeliner and using more browns and metallics, which I’m wearing below. I lined my eyes with a darker brown shimmer eyeshadow and lots of mascara! I also used CoverGirl’s Smoothers illuminating concealer along with MAC’s Sculpting Powder to contour my face.
Have you tried MAC’s ‘Flair For Finery’? If so, let me know what you thought of it and post links to your blogs below! 🙂
I purchased Flair for Finery. I love a pink, nude or pink nude lipstick. Hue was my 1st Mac lipstick. Shy Girl, Myth then Blankety. I’m having a little trouble pairing it w the right liner and gloss. I usually use either ‘Fashion Scoop’ or ‘Flourabundance’ also my faves but can’t seem to find just the right combo= Ive even tried my drug store brands. Hopefully ill gey it right soon bc I LOVE this lip stick. Such chic packaging and color.
I just purchased this myself! I swatched it alongside Hue and Creme D’Nude which are my two long-standing favourite nudes and knew I had to have it, despite it being pretty much a perfect halfway point between the two. It’s gorgeous and I LOVE the packaging!
