Hello my lovely readers! I have an amazing beauty brand to share with you today – one that specializes in long-wear nail polishes as well as high end nail treatments. Lauren B. Beauty is a somewhat new brand on the beauty market and is quickly picking up a following of loyal customers due to the amazing and long-lasting formula.
I personally love a good background story behind how brands came about and Lauren B. Beauty is certainly worth reading about. Growing up, Lauren would set up a nail salon in her garage on an ironing board, while dressed in overalls and snap bracelets. She even played her favorite Spice Girls cassette while performing manicures on any willing family members. But it wasn’t until after graduating Medical college that Lauren turned her love for nail polish into a full-blown career. Having officially launched in February 2014, Lauren B. Beauty is a rapidly trending brand, offering a range of unique, bright colors along with a set of 5 varying nude polishes that all promise to be chip-free!
I was recently given “Mulholland Drive” to try and the polish lived up to everything the brand stands for. This particular color is described as an electric deep purple that flatters any skin tone while also serving as an appropriate color for both work and play. And I couldn’t agree more!
In the photo above, there is only one coat of this polish on my nails. After applying, I couldn’t believe how opaque the formula was. I was tempted to apply a second coat just for the sake of tradition, but it honestly wasn’t even needed. I found that just the one coat lasted me longer than any other polish I have tried and can only imagine how long the two full recommended coats would last.
Overall, I give this nail polish an A+ for both quality (long-wearing and chip-free) and unique and trending color variety. Also, did I mention all the colors are inspired and named after places in Los Angeles? Some other Lauren B. color names include: “Rodeo Drive” and “Aire of Bel-Air.” For me, the polish names are just as fun as the colors themselves! Oh and bonus points for being eco/vegan-friendly 🙂
