Review: Glossybox Secret Garden September Edition

Being that September is the widely known month for fashion, Glossybox has collaborated with talented illustrator Antonio Soares to create a Secret Garden themed box. Inspired by the undeniable correlation of beauty and fashion, the September Edition Glossybox is filled with 6 enchanted beauty essentials that are perfect to keep on hand for last minute touch-ups.

The Packaging

When I first opened the outer packaging of the September Glossybox, I was expecting to see their signature solid pink box. But as I opened it, the box revealed a very special and unique design that made me even more excited to see what goodies were inside. The exterior lid features a design of a modelesque woman surrounded by watercolor painted birds. The colors in this Secret Garden themed design range from royal blue to baby blue with mustered yellow and gold accent shades. The interior lid features the same golden colored bird sitting atop of several leaves in the same blue hues featured throughout the design.

Within every Glossybox is a fold out card detailing each item included inside. The September card is adorned with the same blue and gold illustrations but with a Victorian style key that can’t help but catch your eye. I absolutely love the theme of this box, even down to the item detailed card that carries the same design.

The Products

1. MONUSpa Rosewood Reviving Mist
The first item in the September Glossybox is a miniature MONUSpa Reviving Mist. This is a makeup bag essential to instantly revitalize skin throughout the day. Formulated with lemon, rosewood, sandalwood, and other essential oils, this mist leaves skin feeling refreshed and awakened.

2. Korres Volcanic Minerals Twist Eyeshadow
The Korres Volcanic Minerals Twist Eyeshadow provides 24 hours of “smudge free wear” with an intense color payoff. The soft eyeshadow stick is formulated with mineral rich Volcanic Minerals & Rice Wax Rice which helps to moisturize skin, while also providing eyes with vibrant and pigmented color.

3. Sesderma C-Vit Liposomal Serum
Serum has become one of my favorite skincare products so I was super excited to find the C-Vit Liposomal Serum in my Glossybox. This serum provides long-lasting hydration while also reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It’s also said to work best when used in conjunction with a moisturizing cream.

4. BORGHESE Superiore State-of-the-Art Mascara
Although I’m a die-hard fan of anything skincare related, makeup is my first love. I was excited to find a mascara in this month’s Glossybox since it’s one of the essential face products that I tend to wear on a regular basis. The BORGHESE State-of-the-Art Mascara is a 4-in-1 brush that defines, curls, and separates lashes to create a full and voluminous look. There is no clumping or flaking with this mascara, making it a mascara you’ve truly been longing for.

5. Sensyses Cleanser Classic
The Sensyses Cleanser (Classic) is a face and eye make up remover. Suitable for all skin types, this cleanser removes impurities and makeup while also supplying essential fatty acids that keep the outer layer of skin hydrated and healthy.

6. Model Launcher Eyebrow Duo Pencil
Last but not least is the Model Launcher Eyebrow Duo Pencil. I am always on the hunt for a new eyebrow product to fill in my brows so I was happy to see this included. The strategically angled retractable tip of this pencil makes it easy to seamlessly fill in brows with precision and accuracy. The other end of this pencil consists of a finely toothed brush that is used to blend the pencil into the brow. This brow pencil is available in four shades which include: grey, dark grey, brown, and dark brown.
