Review: 100% Pure Cocoa Butter Semi-Matte Lipstick

Founded in Napa, California, 100% Pure is an organic, cruelty-free and all-natural cosmetic brand that focuses on creating healthy and pure skin care and color cosmetics. Their recently launched line of Pure Cocoa Butter Semi-Matte Lipsticks are not only natural in every way you can imagine, but are available in 11 breathtaking shades. Let’s begin the review!

The Formula

Official Description: A semi-matte, opaque & long-wearing lipstick. 100% PURE’s innovative all-natural formula ensures your lip color always looks vibrant, rich and full, never dry. Formulated with healthy fruit pigments and a nourishing blend of cocoa butter, shea butter and vitamin E to moisturize while providing intensely rich color.

All of the 100% Pure Cocoa Butter shades are ultra-matte and opaque, and are super long-lasting. I was so impressed with how this lipstick stayed on literally the entire day. I recommend using an oil-based makeup remover or a jojoba oil to fully remove it at the end of the day.

Another great benefit of these lipsticks is their healthy and pure ingredients. If you look on the back of the packaging, their is a full list of ingredients including fruit pigments and nourishing shea and cocoa butter and Vitamin E to help nourish lips. Here is a full list of their ingredients:

Swatch

I swatched my favorite color from the bunch, “Marrakesh”, a vibrant fuchsia hue. The pigment is phenominal and was just creamy enough to not dry out my skin.
