On June 18th, I attended the Real Techniques Media Reception where the founders, Sam and Nic Chapman gave us an inside scoop on the makeup brush line.
The reception took place at the lovely Ibis restaurant in midtown, Manhattan. Aside from the colorful step-and-repeat, there also were fun props such as a life-size Instagram frame and of course lots of Real Techniques makeup brushes.
The display of makeup brushes included both the original collection as well as the newly released Bold Metals collection (see photo below), which is absolutely fabulous I may add. Sam and Nic mingled with all the invitees and even let us in on a secretive product they will be launching this fall! So stay tuned for more details!
The Bold Metals Collection is made up of seven metallic handle brushes, all with unbelievably soft bristles. The collection is even color coded based on what the brush is meant for. Gold = Base; Platinum = Eye; Rose Gold = Finish.
Included in the invitee gift bags were a few of the Bold Metal brushes as well as a few from the original collection. I personally love the Bold Metals collection best because I have never seen a makeup brush with such soft yet firm bristles. They are my absolute favorite!
