This year, Pantone surprised us all with not one but TWO colors for the 2016 year. “Rose Quartz” and “Serenity” are both light pastels that are about to be seen everywhere! I have chosen a list of beauty products that pay homage to the rosy pink and light blue shades.
1. Dolce & Gabbana Beauty Shine Lipstick in ‘Light Blue 185’ ($34.50)
This Shine Lipstick by Dolce & Gabbana is a semi-sheer color, so you can sport the Pantone Serenity blue in a slightly subtle manner. The high-shine and translucent finish of this lipstick adds luster and volume to your lips too so you’ll be keeping up with trends while still looking sophisticated. Buy at Nordstrom.com.
2. Laura Mercier ‘Second Skin’ Cheek Color in “Rose Petal” ($23.40)
The Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Color is a light and velvety powder blush that applies silky and sheer color evenly and effortlessly to cheeks. “Rose Petal” is the perfect nod to Pantone’s ‘Rose Quartz’ and flattering on most skin tones as well. Buy at Nordstrom.com.
3. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blush in “Rosy” ($8.49)
The Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blush is one of my favorite blushes right now. “Rosy” is not only in line with Pantone’s ‘Rose Quartz’ but is perfect for Spring. These blushes are enriched with Vitamin C and botanical conditioners, designed to blend smoothly and give cheeks a healthy glow. Buy at neutrogena.com.
4. Sephora + Pantone Universe Color Of The Year Matte Lipstick in “Rose Quartz” ($18)
Sephora has teamed up with Pantone to release an entire collection of Rose Quartz and Serenity-inspired products. They are launching two Pantone Color of the Matte Lipsticks, one in “Rose Quartz” and one in “Serenity”. I personally love the “Rose Quartz” shade as I’m not sure I could pull off the blue. This lipstick has a rich and velvety formula, while delivering a pigmented punch of color. Buy at Sephora.com.
5. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure In Full Blue-m ($7.59)
This Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polish is one of my favorites for being chip-resistant and having an easy-to-use flawless application brush. “Full Blue-m” is
Buy at Drugstore.com.
6. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Arm Candy ($7.99)
The other Sally Hansen color that pays homage to the other Pantone Color of the Year is “Arm Candy”. Much like the Pantone Rose Quartz, ‘Arm Candy’ is a light rosy pink. It’s not completely opaque but has an easy-to-work-with formula and great pigmentation. Buy at Ulta.com.
7. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in “Iced Blue” ($26.10)
This long-lasting eyeshadow stick by Bobbi Brown is a must-have. “Iced Blue” is a gorgeous grayish light blue that is subtle enough to wear as an eyeshadow. It glides on lids tug-free and can be used not only to shade but also to define and highlight eyes as well. Buy at Nordstrom.com.
