Aside from my nighttime skincare routine, there are a number of other products that I use before bed. They call it beauty sleep but if you ask me, the beauty really stems from the products that are working while our heads rest on our silk pillows. With that being said, here is a breakdown of my nighttime beauty routine!
The Products
1. Lashfood Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer ($78)
Eyelash enhancers have been on the market for quite some time now but I personally hadn’t found one that actually worked until I started using the Lashfood Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer. I have never considered my lashes to be very long but I’ve actually been asked quite frequently recently if I have gotten lash extensions, to which I giggle and politely respond that I actually use the Lashfood Eyelash Enhancer which I’ve come to call one of my favorite products. I put it on every night before bed as well as when I wake up in the morning before putting on any makeup. The patented phyto-medic complex delivers nature’s most power ingredients and nutrients to lashes to make them longer, thicker, and stronger in just 4-8 weeks. I don’t even think it took that long for me to notice a difference but regardless, this lash serum really does work. Buy at SEPHORA, QVC, ULTA or JCPENNEY.
2. The Vintage Cosmetic Exfoliating Face Sponge ($6.95)
It’s super important to remove all dead skin and impurities from your face before going to bed; which is why I use the Vintage Cosmetic Exfoliating face sponge when cleansing my face. This sponge has a silicone shell that gently removes dead skin and creates a perfect lather for a squeaky clean finish. I love that it’s pink too! The Vintage Cosmetic has so many cute products as you probably could guess from their name, and so whenever they come out with a new product I always have to get my hands on it. Buy at ULTA.
3. Christie Brinkley Uplift + IR Defense ($69)
Ever since Christie Brinkley came out with her skincare line I have flocked to every product she has launched. Not only are her products effective but they’re also not overly priced like many skincare products tend to be. My latest obsession is her Uplift + IR Defense. This luxurious cream helps to smooth, firm, and brighten the look of skin on both the neck and chest. The delicate skin on the neck and chest is just as important to take care of as the face, so this product is a must-have for my nighttime routine. The cream is also infused with a bio-copper complex that helps to promote collagen and elastin which firms skin and also aids in protecting against sun damage. Buy at KOHLS, SKINSTORE or HSN.
4. Kleenex Facial Cleansing Wipes
Kleenex has expanded their product line to include skincare products and wow am I grateful! The Kleenex Facial Cleansing Wipes have become my latest obsession. The dispenser should be purchased separately in order to maintain the moisture of the wipes. These gentle cleansing wipes contain aloe, vitamin E and white tea and cucumber which lifts and traps dirt and oil. Each refill pack contains 25 face wipes, which work as both a makeup remover and a cleanser. Buy at WALGREENS.
5. Queen Helene Volcanic Ash Scrub
My skin is on the oilier side so I’m prone to more impurities and black heads. Thankfully, I discovered Queen Helene’s Volcanic Ash Scrub which is not only highly effective in purifying skin but it’s also very affordable! The volcanic ash component of this cleanser acts like a magnet to draw out pollutants and other impurities that build up from being exposed to pollution, environmental toxins, and more external factors. By bringing these toxins to the surface, they are able to be easily washed away. Queen Helene also has a number of other Volcanic Ash products such as a facial masque that I would highly recommend if your skin is in need of a deep clean. Buy at SALLYBEAUTY.
6. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Pore-Refining Anti-Aging Serum ($45)
In addition to any moisturizer I use, I ALWAYS make sure to apply a serum first. My current favorite skin serum is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Pore-Refining Anti-Aging Serum. Specifically designed for nighttime use, this pore-minimizing serum helps to smooth texture, even tone, and boost radiance. The fast absorbing texture comes is very convenient when applying at night since it reduces the amount of time between applying this and a moisturizer (note: a serum should be fully absorbed into skin before applying a moisturizer over top for the best results). By tightening large pores, this serum leaves skin looking visibly smoother and refined. Buy at TARGET, WALGREENS, or LAROCHEPOSAY.
7. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Cupuacu Lip Butter ($19)
Sol de Janeiro is hands-down one of my favorite skincare brands. Between their multitude of innovative and effective products and their oh-so-chic packaging, it’s a no-brainer why this brand has become so popular. I apply their Brazilian Kiss Cupuacu Lip Butter every night before I go to bed. Infused with nourishing nourishing cupuaçu, açaí, and coconut oil, this lip butter leaves lips feeling soft and supple. The caramel scent is also super yummy so I love to bring this lip butter with me throughout the day for touch ups. The Brazilian Kiss Cupuacu Lip Butter is also great for applying throughout the day as its dewy sheen finish intensives the natural color of your lips. Buy at SEPHORA, JCPENNEY, DERMSTORE or CULTBEAUTY.
8. Serendipity Gaze Repairing Eye Cream ($64)
I recently discovered the Serendipity skincare brand and am so excited to be including my first product of theirs in one of my stories! The Serendipity Gaze Repairing Eye Cream has become a staple in my skincare collection. Formulated with caffeine, quinoa seed and butcher’s extract, this eye cream is able to reduce dark circles and swelling around the eyes. This eye cream also helps improve microcirculation and strengthens blood vessel walls which reduces the formation of red blood cells around eyes. After using this eye cream for a couple of weeks, I have noticed a huge difference as the skin around my eyes appears smoother and more even with the skintone of the rest of my face. Buy at SERENDIPITY.
9. Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon Night Gel-Cream ($80)
When applying a moisturizer before bed, it’s important to choose one that is targeted for nighttime use in order to obtain the best results. The Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon Night Gel-Cream is one of my current favorite nighttime products and one that I use on a daily basis. Formulated with Persian Silk Tree Extracts, this revitalizing gel-cream reduces signs of skin fatigue and restores radiance by the time you wake up. The Tamarind Seed Extract works throughout the night to create a nourishing cocoon for softer, more hydrated skin. Buy at ULTA, NORDSTROM or DERMSTORE.
