My Evening Skincare Routine

Evening Skincare Routine

Evening Skincare Routine
No one wants to wake up with bronzer smeared on their Shabby Chic pillowcases, so the first step in the evening skincare routine is removing all of your makeup. Not only can you ruin your precious linens by sleeping in your makeup, but there’s a pretty good chance you’ll wake up to a few blemishes as well. This happens to me 95% of the time I fall asleep with my makeup on, so I make it a top priority to always wash my face before I go to sleep no matter what. I’m going to outline the steps in the skincare routine and then later talk about which products I use for each.

The Products

1. Sase Skincare Hydra-Purifying Cleanser 3 in 1 ($45)
I recently discovered the Sase Skincare brand and fell in love with their Hydra-Purifying Cleanser. It’s 3-in-1 formula cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates, all in under 15 minutes. Another great benefit about this cleanser is that it’s free of sulfates, paragons, fragrance dyes, and many other abrasive ingredients that irritate skin. Buy at FIAFINI.

2. Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil ($24.99)
I never go to bed without applying a serum or oil, and my current favorite is Mad Hippie’s Antioxidant Facial oil. Crafted from chemical-free and a certified Vegan formula, this oil softens and smooths skin while fighting against free radicals. The formula is also infused with 18 actives including argan oil, goji and camu camu, which help protect skin from photoaging and prevent early signs of aging. Buy at FREEPEOPLE or WALGREENS.

3. Jergens Natural Glow 3 Days to Glow Moisturizer ($9.99)
After applying my nighttime skincare routine, I love to apply Jergen’s Natural Glow Moisturizer to give my skin a boost of color when I wake up. What I love about the Jergens Glow Moisturizer is that it doesn’t have that self tanning odor that comes with most self tanners on the market. It gives skin natural-looking color within 1 day and a full shade of color in 3 days. Buy at ULTA.

4. Farmaesthetics Eyebright Eye Makeup Remover ($26)
So many makeup removers on the market are too harsh and irritate my eyes. Thankfully, I discovered the Farmaesthetics Eye Makeup Remover which doesn’t irritate my eyes at all. It’s synthetic-free formula is a 3-in-1 treatment, softening fine lines, reducing puffiness, and soothing redness and eyestrain. The paraben-free formula also contains Grapeseed, Orange Wax, and Chamomile which is so much more soothing on my skin than the ingredients in other makeup removers. Buy at NORDSTROM or SAKS.

5. Pulsaderm Sonic Washcloth ($40)
I use the Pulsaderm Sonic Washcloth with my Sase Skincare cleanser. It’s impenetrable silicone surface is an amazing skin exfoliator that’s designed to prevent dirt buildup and break away makeup and oil through it’s powerful sonic pulses. It also comes in a variety of fun colors! My personal favorite is the lavender shade. Buy at PULSADERM.

6. Korres Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial ($48)
I don’t use sleeping facials every night but once a week I will use the Korres Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial to give my skin an added boost. The overnight facial-in-a-jar contains wild rose oil, super C, and imperata cylindric extract which time releases moisture throughout the night. This particular overnight moisturizer addresses uneven skin tone and improves overall texture for a brighter and more luminous complexion. Buy at SEPHORA.
