Christmas came early this year with the annual Secret Santa at my work, and being known as a beauty junkie around my office landed me a beautiful bottle of Marc Jacobs nail lacquer in ‘Jezebel’.
Up until now, I had never tried any Marc Jacobs polishes as I mainly gravitate towards Essie and a select other few. From the first brush stroke, I was in love! The applicator brush was much thicker compared to Essie brushes, which actually made for a much easier and faster application. I didn’t need as many brush strokes and actually found it easier to apply evenly and within the borders of my nail.
The color is described as an ‘opaque black cherry red’ and looking at my nails, that is the perfect way to describe it. I must say that this particular color looks very different in different lights. The photos don’t really capture the darker undertones that make this color so eye-catching, but if you are searching for a deep red shade, I highly recommend ‘Jezebel’.
