It’s been a few weeks since Jeffree Star launched his Holiday 2016 collection, which consisted of 7 limited edition Velour Liquid Lipsticks and 2 new Skinfrost Highlighters. I have begun studying the swatches and researching dupes for each limited edition shade, and the first one up on the list is the fiery neon orange-red, “Checkmate”. It’s available at Amazon.
“I had to create something a little loud, a little obnoxious, a little BAM,” Star said of the Checkmate shade. He also admitted that his longtime boyfriend Nathan was responsible for deciding on it’s name. Personally, I can’t tell the difference between Checkmate and and his permanent lipstick, ‘Anna Nicole’.
