Music Festivals can take a lot out of you, especially one that spans over the course of 2 weeks! The annual Coachella Music Festival is so much more than just the artist lineup, as fashion and beauty trends take over the two weekend affair every year. A few weeks ago I published a list of beauty essentials for the Indio based music festival and now I have chosen a list of products to help you recover!
The Products
1. Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum ($56)
Spending hours under the sun can take a toll on your skin, which is why the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Serum is exactly what you need to take the first step in repairing damage. The serum was created to protect against environmental aggressors (such as sun damage), as well as supporting natural cell regeneration for healthier-looking skin. Not only does it help repair skin but it also counteracts signs of aging through detoxification and hydrating skin. Buy at Sephora.
2. Kensington Apothecary Rosewater Exfoliating Tonic ($44.95)
Lately I’ve been trading in the gritty exfoliators for acidic exfoliating toners. The Kensington Apothecary Rosewater Tonic exfoliates and clears my skin of all leftover makeup to reveal much smoother skin underneath. The fruit acids in this toner work just as well as a scrub exfoliator, and it’s less harsh on the skin. Buy at kensingtonapothecary.com.
3. White Sands Leave In Conditioner ($15)
While helping skin to recover, let’s not forget to repair your tired locks! After washing, I spray this White Sands Leave-in Conditioner to restore my hair to it’s youthful and healthy state. The conditioner is formulated with special polymers that provide a targeted delivery of conditioning that repair damage in areas of the hair cuticle that need it most. The formula also contains a unique combination of green tea leaf and orchid flower extracts that are amazing anti-aging ingredients to not only fight free radicals but untangle hair as well. Buy at whitesandproducts.com.
4. Sun Bum ‘Cool Down’ Hydrating After Sun Gel ($9.99)
Spending hours in the sun can make it hard to continuously apply sunscreen all day long – especially at a music festival where that is probably the last thing on your mind. One of my favorite sunburn reliefs is the Sun Bum ‘Cool Down’ Hydrating After Sun Gel. The Vitamin E enriched aloe gel eases the pain of a sunburn while helping to prevent peeling. They even recommend to keep it refrigerated for a bonus relief! Buy at Drugstore.com.
5. Urban Skin Rx Hydrating Lip Treatment ($17)
Lips can burn just as easily as the skin, which many people often forget. I always try to wear an SPF-infused balm when I’m going to be spending some time under the sun. But since this is a beauty recovery story, I have chosen a product to help repair any dryness or damage to the lips from Coachella. The Urban Skin Rx Hydrating Lip Treatment treats chapped and dry lips while also smoothing lines on or around the lips. I put this lip treatment on religiously since I’m terrified of developing wrinkle lines around my mouth! This lip treatment is also great to condition lips before applying a gloss or lipstick. Buy at urbanskinrx.com.
6. Derma E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub ($15.50)
Why just exfoliate the Coachella aftermath off your face when you can detox your skin at the same time? The Derma E Daily Detox Scrub is a doctor developed and clinically tested face wash that removes toxins from the skin’s surface and lifts away micro pollutants and impurities. It’s formula also helps skin to feel more hydrated and nourished through it’s antioxidant-rich ingredients such as Bladderwrack as well as activated Charcoal. I use this scrub on my skin every other day but it’s gentle enough to use daily. Buy at Dermstore.com.
7. Nature’s Gate Hemp Body Lotion ($10.29)
When it comes to deciding on a lotion, I always like to go the natural route – which is why the Nature’s Gate Hemp Lotion is one of my favorites right now. The formula is rich in hemp seed oils, Magnolia Bark, and Elderflower which all deeply moisturize. Spending hours in the sun at Coachella can seriously dry out your skin, and so I highly recommend returning the moisture with this amazing hemp lotion. Buy at Drugstore.com.
8. Scientific Organics Grape Stem Cell White Tea and Seaweed Body Butter ($45)
Another effective way to rejuvenate dry and tired skin is with a body butter. The Scientific Organics Grape Stem Cell Body Butter is great not only because it rehydrates skin, but it also fights the appearance of aging (often caused by sun exposure). The citrus-scented formula contains grape stem cells, spiraling, algae, green and white teas, shea butter, and jojoba seed oil which all help to even skin tone and eliminate rough, dry skin. I love to put this body butter on before I go to bed since it’s a bit thicker than a regular lotion. Buy at Dermstore.com.
