It’s getting to be that time of year again. Time to make your New Years resolutions, reflect on the last year, and get fully pampered to look your best for the biggest night of the year. New Years Eve is certainly no time to neglect your nails and here is a simple guide to getting the perfect NYE mani.
Step 1: Paint your nails all white. I used Essie’s ‘Blanc’ but you can also use variations of this such as a dove grey or off white shade.
Step 2: Let your nails dry completely. This is extremely important because when you apply the glitter afterwards, the white polish will smear with the brush – leaving a mess!
Step 3: Once your nails are dry, paint several coats of Essie’s “Peak of Chic” polish. This color is also part of Essie’s Holiday 2013 Encrusted Treasures Collection, so you’ll also be on-trend!
Step 4: Let your nails dry and apply a clear top-coat to set the glitter. This isn’t completely necessary but it will protect the glitter from coming off and also soften the texture of your nails from the glitter.

Thank you ^_^ It’s funny you ask you that because I’ve actually never been able to grow my nails out before since they always break but I recently started using Sally Hansen’s “Hard As Nails” which has really helped make them stronger and less brittle. I owe my new nails all to that! 🙂
