Jenna Ortega’s portrayal of Wednesday Addams on Netflix’s hit series Wednesday has garnered fans from all over the world. Hair and makeup director for the Time Burton remake, Tara McDonald shared the exact products she used to create the now-infamous lip hue.
Speaking to Elle, McDonald states, “Oh gosh, we easily tried around 20 different colours over two weeks,” McDonald explains of the process with 20-year-old Jenna Ortega, who played Wednesday in the viral series. “And then somewhere deep in my makeup kit was this Nightmoth lip liner. I pulled it out, we tried it and I was like, ‘This is the one.'”
