Essie recently just named Rebecca Minkoff as their global color designer, and the Spring 2015 ‘Flowerista’ collection marks the duo’s first collaboration.
But first:
The ‘Flowerista’ collection is obviously all about the Spring flowers!
Description
whether the look is futuristsic minimalism or nouveau bohemian, the name of the game is flower power. The spring 2015 collection is in full bloom, celebrating the fresh perspectives and energetic nature of the spring season. the spring collection marks the first collaboration with designer Rebecca Minkoff joining essie as global color designer.
Collection
Flowerista: The collection’s namesake and described as a passionate plum dahlia.
Perennial Chic is described as a sumptuous tawny tulip. It’s a light classic nude shade, and sort of reminded me of American Apparel’s ‘Mannequin‘ nail polish. Definitely one of my favorites from this collection.
Picked Perfect is described as an antique almond peony. This shade is very similar to Perennial Chic, but is just a tad bit darker. This one is a less flattering shade for pale skin, so I would recommend going with Perennial Chic if you have lighter skin like me!
Garden Variety is described as a teal blue orchid. This color is more blue than it is green, and a lot of bloggers said it had a great formula – making it super easy to apply.
Blossom Dandy is described as a mint crème hydrangea. I’m already in love with this color and I haven’t even bought it yet. It reminds me a lot of Essie’s mint candy apple – remember that one?! This one is a winner already.
Petal Pushers is described as a smoky stone rose. This shade is a slightly dark slate grey, with a really good formula. imabeautygeek said she only needed one coat of it, calling it a ‘One Coat Wonder’.
