Liquid Lipsticks are literally everywhere right now, and Anastasia Beverly Hills has launched their own line of them that will have you craving every shade! Swatches of these lipsticks basically took over Instagram, and all of the hype surrounding them made it hard to find a retailer that had every shade in stock. One of their most popular shades, ‘Pure Hollywood’ is my absolutely favorite, and you will see why from my swatches!
“Pure Hollywood” is a cool-toned pink nude. If you’re not familiar with liquid lipsticks, they basically are applied like a lip gloss (looking shiny at first), but then dry as a matte finish. They are also meant to last longer on your lips than regular lipstick, so they are perfect for going out at night or just sipping on a cocktail – as it will not leave a huge colored stamp of your lipstick on the rim!
“Pure Hollywood” has a very creamy texture, and applied flawlessly on my lips. I didn’t even need a lipliner, although I probably would wear one if I was going out. Depending on your skin tone, this particular shade could look more on the pink or beige side, so I recommend trying before buying.
In terms of longevity, I was expecting it to last a bit longer because of the $20 price tag and high-quality of the brand itself. But overall, it still lasted longer than a regular lipstick would have. As it was wearing off, it came off quicker on the outer areas of my lips, leaving the middle with an odd patch of nude color. So with this liquid lipstick, make sure to pack it with you if you’re going out so you can reapply when necessary!
