Trend Report: Oxblood

One of the top trends for this fall is oxblood, and there’s no better way to sport a trend than on your nails. Essie has such a wide range of oxbloods, deep reds, and burgundy’s that it was hard to choose, but I went with “Lacy not Racy.”

There are so many other great oxblood’s to try, and here are some of my favorites:

1. Revlon “Vixen” 2. Essie “Recessionista” 3. OPI “Bastille my heart” 4. Deborah Lippman “Single Ladies” 5. Essie “Berry Hard”

Oxblood is an interesting color because it could appear either red or brown, depending on the light. It’s a great color for fall being that it’s very dark and quite the opposite from your typical summer palette of light pastels.

I also made the switch from acrylics to gel (I highly recommend jumping on this bandwagon). My nails feel so much more natural and they aren’t as bulky as the acrylics. Not to mention they are better for your nails.

Please let me know in the comment section what oxblood polish you use, and how you’re sporting the color this fall!
